Investment tips for 15 yr old with $800?

Investment Tips

Ok. I am 15, and I would like to invest $800 US dollars in….I’m not sure, so that’s why I’m asking. It’s not like I only have $800. It is half of my available cash, and I would like to experiment with it. I would basically like that $800 to become several thousand dollars or, if possible, in the range of $20,000-$80,000 by then end of 4 years or so. I just finished my freshman year in high school with a 4.5 gpa, so I am fine with my studies. I am also a track athlete, and I do donate money to the poor every year (It actually goes directly to the poor, not to transportation of food, medicine, etc. by the American Red Cross, National Guard or whatever, so don’t get on my case about donating please). Any financial investment suggestions? Thanks in advance.
When I say experiment, I don’t want to give the impression that I don’t care for that money. I would not like to lose it.
I believe CDs and Bonds are pretty much stupid. I mean I give the gov. 50 dollars, and the gov. gives me 100 dollars back in 10 years, but with inflation, it would be equivalent to like 45 dollars today! Wouldn’t I lose money that way?
Keep in mind that I won’t have any time to manage stocks because of my hectic school schedule. I was hoping I could just put the money in something, and I get 5%-10% interest every month in return?

Does anyone know of a website which offers unbiased comparisons of popular investment websites/commentators?

Investment Tips

Is there a website which evaluates performance of popular investment tips such as Jim Cramer and The Motley Fool? I have found limited evaluations of these two sources, but I am looking for a more extensive site which compares many different methodologies and stock tips, etc. It would have to take into account things such as survivor bias, etc.

Any investment tips for 2009?

Investment Tips

With all the turmoil in the market today and the
collapse of Lehman Bros and Acquisition of Merrill Lynch by
Bank of America this might be some good advice. For all of
you with any money left, be aware of the next expected
mergers so that you can get in on the ground floor and make
some BIG bucks.

Watch for these consolidations in later this year:

1.) Hale Business Systems, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller
Brush, and W R.. Grace Co. Will merge and become:
Hale, Mary, Fuller, Grace.

2.) Polygram Records, Warner Bros., and Zesta
Crackers join forces and become:
Poly, Warner Cracker.

3.) 3M will merge with Goodyear and become:
MMMGood.

4. Zippo Manufacturing, Audi Motors, Dofasco, and
Dakota Mining will merge and become:
ZipAudiDoDa .

5. FedEx is expected to join its competitor, UPS, and
become:
FedUP.

6. Fairchild Electronics and Honeywell Computers will
become:
Fairwell Honeychild.

7. Grey Poupon and Docker Pants are expected to
become:
PouponPants.

8. Knotts Berry Farm and the National Organization of
Women will become:
Knott NOW!

And finally….

9. Victoria ’s Secret and Smith &Wesson will
merge under the new name:
TittyTittyBangBang

Need Property Investment Tips, Can You Give Em’?

Investment Tips

I’m in my early 20s, but I’d love to get a leg up. Ideally I’d like to have some lucrative properties under my belt, be it a house, apartment or condo units, or if I’m lucky enough an entire building, by my mid-late 30s.

I’d love to start with an apartment or condo unit. What would be the best route to take to get from there to where I want to be in 10 years. Obviously I’m not swimming in money, but if I have enough to pay for my own mortgage, and can make the difference between what the renters are paying and what the mortgage payment on the other unit.

Just looking for advice/tips? I live in British Columbia, Canada. Do you know any good place to buy in right now? etc…
